Goal and Content

The MSA Food & Beverage Library is dedicated to the public purposes of providing the most effective service and guidance by following the innovations in the industry, and furthering and enhancing the accumulated knowledge assembled in the library.

The MSA Library renders to its readers the most current sectorial information via the newest and quality magazines published in the industry.

Besides its modern publications, the library carries the past to the present with the social and food-beverage traditions included in the over 400 Ancient Turkish books it comprises. The comprehensive archive of MSA Food & Beverage Library consists of numerous rare literary works and 12 unique books written in foreign language.

The library also houses books, reference sources and periodicals related to food-beverage administration, marketing, management and organisation, aquaculture, botanical cultivation, greenhouse gardening, animal breeding, agriculture, nutritional health, “savoir vivre”, table settings and table manners, as well as first-aid.

One of the most important departments in MSA Food & Beverage Library is constituted of the Rare Books Collection which comprises subjects related to ancient food and beverage traditions, recipes, and agriculture. This exquisite collection is maintained and secured under protection policies. The Brands Collection section of the library, constituted of recipes from prominent brands, is among the special departments in progress.

For the cataloguing process, our library uses Turkey’s most prevalent and developed library management system, YORDAM Automated Data Documentation Program, and the literary reserves are catalogued under the very popular Dewey Decimal Classifying System based on the Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules (AACR). This automation solution enables fast and easy access to the library’s database.
