Shall I bring any particular apparel?
You can attend our amateur courses in casual and comfortable clothes. We give you a complimentary apron to be used during the course. You will also have a locker in the dressing room.
On our professional courses, the dress code for the kitchen is valid and this is strictly applied and enforced by the school.
Do I have to bring along cooking material?
No. Our school provides you with all the material in clean, portioned and ready form.
Do I have to bring along kitchen equipment?
No. Our school provides you with all the equipment, electrically operated or otherwise.
Do I have to have prior knowledge of the kitchen?
No. You do not need to know anything prior to the session. Teaching you is our pleasure.
Shall I receive a document?
Yes. Our school is certified by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Turkey and by City & Guilds. You will obtain the official certificate and diploma according to the levels of professional programs you have attended. For amateur programs and seminars, you will obtain a participation document, approved by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Turkey as well.
What are the documents I have to bring along to attend to professional courses?

- Proof of Residence Document (from local Mukhtar)
- Photocopy of the school last graduated from
- 10 passport size photos (for students of Business Administration, 5 photos)
- Health Report from a state hospital (not applicable to students of Business Administration)
- Eliza and Hepatitis tests from a state hospital (not applicable to students of Business Administration)
- Photocopy of Turkish Social Insurance card (not applicable to students of Business Administration)
If a Turkish Social Insurance card is not available, 2 more photos
For foreigners
- Photocopy of ID card
- Proof of Residence Document (from local Mukhtar)
- Photocopy of diploma of the school last graduated from
- 10 passport size photos (5 for students of Business Administration)
- Eliza and hepatitis tests from a state hospital (not applicable to students of Business Administration)

What happens if I begin late or miss lessons?
On our amateur courses, if you miss a lesson, it will not affect new lessons since the lessons are independent of each other. You can make up for the missed lesson, or skip it. (If there is room we can have you participate in the lesson you have missed previously, during any of the terms, on the condition that you notify us 48 hours before the lesson, you will miss).
An attendance rate of 80% is obligatory on the professional courses certified by the Ministry of Education of Turkey.
On professional courses certified by City & Guilds, you are allowed to miss at most 6 days.
Will we apply what we have learned in the classroom?
On our amateur courses, we have applied classes in the kitchen for 24 people, in groups of 2. Each student receives education under the supervision of “educators/cooks”, in the students’ fully equipped kitchen.
On the professional courses, lessons are conducted in pastry, bread making classrooms for 16 people and cooking classrooms for 16 people.
Theoretical lessons are held in our presentation classroom which seats 24 people and is equipped with computers.
Bar tending training for groups of 24 is held in our practical and theoretical bar education hall.
Will you give out written documents related to the lessons?
In the amateur courses, you will receive the recipes at the beginning of each lesson and you will be allowed to keep them for future reference.
In the professional courses, school documents and textbooks are used.
Will I be able to apply at home what I have done at school?
Our amateur classes are equipped with kitchen utensils that are similar to those used at home. Therefore, there’s nothing that you will do at school and cannot repeat at home.
How can I get to the Academy?
By car: From the intersection at Zincirlikuyu, go towards Etiler (Nispetiye Street). Go past Akmerkez. After 200 m, turn left at the lights on the road to Tepecik. ACA is 800 m ahead on the left, within the Alkent complex.
By car: (from both directions) TEM highway, exit through the Etiler intersection (FSM Bridge, last exit before the ticket booths). Follow the sign Tepecik Road.
By bus: Busses no 59N that operate on the ?işli – FSM District line. Get off at the Tepecik stop.
By bus: Busses no 58N that operate between Beşiktaş and the Fatih Sultan Mehmet district. Get off at the Tepecik stop.
Is there a parking problem?
There’s a 75 car parking lot allocated for visitors within the compound, which can be safely used at all times.
